Preventative Healthcare

2.  Dental Hygiene - Dental care is so important to the health of your pet.  The doctors recommend animal dental exams and dental cleaning when necessary.  They utilize an ultrasonic scaling machine to remove plaque.  Good breath and good health are positive results of this service.

3.  Vaccination Guidelines - Puppies

•       6 weeks - Distemper Hepatitis, Parvo, Corona

•       9 weeks - DHPC, Bordetella, Rabies

•       12 weeks - DHPC, Bordatella, Rabies

•       15 weeks - DHPC

•       20 weeks - Final Parvo

4.  Vaccination Guidelines - Kittens

•       Prior to Vaccination - Feline Leukemia/AIDS Bloodtest

•       9 weeks - Feline Distemper, Rhinotrachieitis, Calicis Virus

•       12 weeks - Feline Distemper, Rhinotrachieitis, Calici, Rabies

5.  Heartworm Prevention - Heartgard Plus® or Interceptor® tablets are recommended once a month, year 'round to prevent this mosquito born disease.

6. Flea and Tick Control - FrontlinePlus® or Advantage® are recommended to be applied topically once a month.

7. Annual vaccination and wellness exam - The doctors well advise a complete check up every year.  This visit includes:

      A) For Adult Dogs

•  Physical exam (dental, heart, lungs, eyes, skin, etc.)

•  Worm Test

•  Heartworm Test

•  Rabies Vaccine

•  Distemper Hepatitis Vaccine

•  Parvo Vaccine

•  Kennel Cough Vaccine (Nasal)

    B) For Mature Dogs (6-9 years or older)

•  Basic Bloodtests for liver and kidney function: BUN, Creatinine, Alk Phos, ALT, CBC Diff

    C) For Geriatric Dogs 8-11 years or older

•  Chest x-ray annually

•  EKG annually
