Dr. William G. Shannon

      Dr. Shannon has been practicing Veterinary Medicine in Hendersonville since 1970. After undergraduate studies at David Lipscomb College and the University of Tennessee, he received his D.V.M degree from Auburn University.  Dr. Shannon's interest in animals began at an early age as he and his dad raised cows, horses, donkeys, beagles and birddogs on the family farm. He began working for Dr. Jim Hale, Hendersonville's first veterinarian, at the age of thirteen, and has been involved with Veterinarian Medicine ever since.
      Even after thirty years of practice he still enjoys seeing clients and helping to solve their pet's medical problems. His hobbies include raising and training Labrador Retrievers, boating, fishing and duck hunting.  Dr. Shannon and his family worship with the Hendersonville Church of Christ where he is an Elder and songleader.
